School Hours
- School Office: 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday.
- Student Supervision 8:30am - 3:10pm.
- Class time: 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Recess: 10:45am - 11:15am
- Lunch: 1:00pm - 1:30pm
Recess and lunch times may vary depending on the class curriculum.
Pupil Free Days
Unless otherwise specified, pupil free days occur on the following days for the purpose of staff professional learning:
- Term 1: first day of term
- Term 2: first day of term
- Term 3: first day of term
- Term 4: first & last day of term

Term 1 - Monday 29 January to Friday 12 April
Term 2 - Monday 29 April to Friday 5 July
Term 3 - Monday 22 July to Friday 27 September
Term 4 - Monday 14 October to Friday 13 December
School Uniform
Students are encouraged to wear the school uniform which is as follows:
- Summer: Navy shorts, embroidered school polo shirt and navy hat.
- Winter: Navy track pants, embroidered school polo shirt, navy or white skivvy and embroidered school jumper or jacket
- Footwear & bag: As best suited for the individual student; backpack for swimming.
Embroidered school polo shirts and rugby tops are currently ordered through the School Office. School jumpers and jackets can be ordered online via Silver Fleece. Please see attached for login and order instructions.
Other uniform items may be purchased from your preferred retail outlet.
Bus Transport
Before and after school
Our school provides the service of three buses to transport students to and from school each day. The route for these buses is restricted to a certain geographical area and fees apply. Please contact the office for further information about the bus routes and fees.
During school hours
The school buses are used regularly throughout the day to support access to the curriculum.
School Lunches
The school does not have a canteen facility. However, students can order their lunch once a week on a Friday from the local ‘Dulwich Bakery’. The Price List for this is available for download below. Orders and money are to be enclosed in an envelope and sent to school via the student diary.
Allergy Awareness
St Patrick's Special School is a NUT FREE school. A copy of our Allergy Aware policy is attached for your reference.
