School Information

School Hours

  • School Office: 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday.
  • Student Supervision 8:30am - 3:10pm.
  • Class time: 9:00am – 3:00pm
  • Recess: 10:45am - 11:15am
  • Lunch: 1:00pm - 1:30pm

Recess and lunch times may vary depending on the class curriculum.

Pupil Free Days

Unless otherwise specified, pupil free days occur on the following days for the purpose of staff professional learning:

  • Term 1: last day of term
  • Term 2: first day of term
  • Term 3: first day of term
  • Term 4: first & last day of term

Term 2 - Monday 27 April to Friday 3 July (Note: pupil free day Friday 3 July)
Term 3 - Monday 20 July to Friday 25 September
Term 4 - Monday 12 October to Friday 11 December

Term 2 - Tuesday 27 April to Friday 2 July
Term 3 - Monday 19 July to Friday 24 September

School Uniform

Students are encouraged to wear the school uniform which is as follows:

  • Boys summer: navy hat, navy shorts and embroidered school polo shirt
  • Boys winter: navy track pants, navy or white skivvy, embroidered school polo shirt and embroidered school rugby top
  • Girls summer: navy hat, navy skirt or shorts and embroidered school polo shirt
  • Girls winter: navy track pants, navy or white skivvy, embroidered school polo shirt and embroidered school rugby top
  • Footwear & bag: as best suited for the individual student.

Embroidered school polo shirts and rugby tops are ordered through the School Office. Other uniform items may be purchased from your preferred retail outlet.

Bus Transport

Before and after school

Our school provides the service of three buses to transport students to and from school each day. The route for these buses is restricted to a certain geographical area and fees apply. Please contact the office for further information about the bus routes and fees.

During school hours

The school buses are used regularly throughout the day to support access to the curriculum.

Vacation Care at St Patrick’s Special School

Vacation Care is operated by Minda Inc. on the school premises during school holidays. All bookings and enquiries for this service need to be made direct to Minda Vacation Care - either by phone to 0419 832 104 or (08) 8179 5285 or email to

School Lunches

The school does not have a canteen facility. However, students can order their lunch once a week on a Friday from the local ‘Dulwich Bakery’.  The Price List for this is available for download below. Orders and  money are to be enclosed in an envelope and sent to school via the student diary.

Allergy Awareness

St Patrick's Special School is a NUT FREE school. A copy of our Allergy Aware policy is attached for your reference.

Please note that we have a student at the school with an allergy to WHITE FISH such as whiting, garfish, snapper, etc. This does not include salmon or tuna. We request that parents please advise their class teacher if their child has any white fish in their recess or lunch to minimise any exposure.
