What services are available for my child and family outside of school?

A wide range of services are available to our students and their families. Feedback from our families has shown the following links and information to be useful (listed in no particular order). For information on respite, please click here.

Children with Disability Australia

"CDA is the national peak body which represents children and young (aged 0-25) people with disability. CDA is a not for profit, community organisation.

Membership is FREE for all young people with disability (18-25 years) and for all families of children with disability across Australia.

The 'Listen Up' magazine that is part of membership has interesting and valuable information regarding many aspects across the disability sector.

Skylight is a New Zealand not for profit trust that enables children, young people, their family and friends to navigate through times of trauma, loss and grief. 

"Supporting Siblings:  Skylight knows that the brothers and sisters of children or teens who have a serious illness, a chronic health condition or a disability have their own unique needs too." On their webpage they have brought together all kinds of information that may be helpful for siblings - and those who care about them.
